Appreciation is an essential part of how we create community.
On December 18, 2020, Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus celebrated the holiday season and the end of the year 2020 with the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE). Due to the ongoing health crisis, this year’s ceremony was held virtually.
The event included the recognition of outstanding personnel who were bestowed with awards during the PSHS System 22nd Founding Anniversary. The awardees were outgoing Campus Director Delia C. Legaspino (2020 PSHS System Outstanding Executive), Supervising Administrative Officer Mario A. Gigayon (PSHS System Outstanding Employee Level II), and Assistant CID Chief- Office of Student Affairs Janice Joy W. Chiongson (Sinagtala Teaching Award).
A plaque, a token, and a special recognition were also presented to each of the eleven (11) personnel who dedicated significant years of service and hard work at PSHS SMC.
For 25 years of service:
- Ms. Jearvy R. Laňohan – Special Science Teacher V
- Mr. Joselito M. Calacar – Librarian
For 20 years of service:
- Ms. Janice Joy W. Chiongson – Special Science Teacher IV
For 15 years of service:
- Ms. Sheila M. Allong - Special Science Teacher IV
- Engr. Gednyl Glory D. Cobarrubias - Special Science Teacher IV
- Ms. Sharon M. Dejarme - Special Science Teacher V
- Mr. Jonathan V. Mancao - Special Science Teacher V
- Ms. Suzette A. Palicte - Special Science Teacher IV
- Ms. Teresa Pamela G. Soriano - Special Science Teacher IV
For 10 years of service:
- Ms. Ferly Joy L. Caga – Science Research Specialist I
- Ms. Mary Anne B. Villanueva - Special Science Teacher IV
Distinct recognition was also granted to personnel who exuded exemplary behavior, namely: Ms. Ronieleen P. Lbrero (Guidance Services Associate I), Ms. Ma. Sandra Agnes J. Golvin (Administrative Officer V), Ms. Jihan D. Codizar (Special Science Teacher IV), Ms. Michelle C. Cuestas (Special Science Teacher III), Mr. Mark Anthony D. David (Special Science Teacher II), Ms. Krishna Mie C. Zabate (Special Science Teacher IV), and Mr. Levi Jusayan (Administrative Aide VI).
Additionally, especially with the challenging times over the past months, the Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus gave praise and acknowledgement to the personnel who made significant contributions for the school to meet the challenges in an inspiring way and they are: Engineer Michael V. Lastly, given that the school was still able to push through with the annual surveillance audit conducted by SOCOTEC in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and passed it with zero non-conformity despite the circumstances, due recognition was endowed to the following:
