The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has granted the Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus the Certificate of Utility Model Registration for its technologies which were filed through the assistance of the Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI)

The Intellectual Property (IP) system relates to rights and obligations, as well as privileges and incentives-all rooted from the creation and protection of IP, which “refers to creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, and images used in commerce.”

The Certificate of Utility Model Registration is issued to the following technologies designed by the brilliant PSHS SMC innovators, to wit:

PSHS SMC is appreciative of the initiatives and efforts put forth by the former Innovation Technology and Support Office (ITSO) coordinator, Mr. Michael A. Casas, in the application for the patent of the above-mentioned innovations. The PSHS SMC also appreciates the current IPO head, Mr. Mark Anthony D. David,  for continuing the efforts of the school to promote Intellectual Property. 

This achievement of the institution is due to the collaborative efforts of both Research Unit (RU)​ and Innovation Technology and Support Office (ITSO) in the continuous noble pursuit of advancing science and technology education.
