Research teachers, Dr. Rochelle Papasin and Dr. Cromwell Castillo, attended the The Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI (RHRDC XI) 5th Health R&D Expo last July 30-31, 2015 at Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.  The event provided researchers and institutions of Region XI an apt venue to promote and showcase research results, particularly in the health category.

Aside from a number of plenary sessions distributed in two days, participants also witnessed or took part  in Research and Poster Exhibit Competetions in either graduate or undergraduate category.

Established Research scientists led by the  Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Hon. Mario G. Montejo, graced the said two-day event.

To  Research educators and enthusiasts, the event proved to be very enriching and informative.   “It showed me a clear philosophical distinction between  qualitative research and quantitative research.  Also, it made me realize that research in the Philippine Science High School is mostly quantitative”, Dr. Papasin said.

The expo was sponsored by the Regional Research and Health Consortium and was co-sponsored by DOST – PCRHD and DOST Regional Office XI.
