For the extension activity, the GFPS – TWG also conducted the CARES (Creating Avenues to Recognize the Esteemed Seniors) as an expression of support to the Republic Act No. 9994, also known as the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010. This endeavor provided invited senior citizens from Tugbok District and parents of PSHS-SM personnel, free laboratory examinations sponsored and conducted by alumni who are now medical doctors. The invited senior citizens also received free eyeglasses each.
“All these activities are expressions of our efforts towards the promotion of the gender mainstreaming effort of the agency.” Ms. Arlyn A. Dacanay, the chairperson of the GFPS-TWG expressed.
