Young scientists from grade 10 and grade 11 of the Philippine Science High School – Southern Mindanao Campus showcased their research projects of Research 1 and 2 subjects last April 13, 2018, Friday under the categories Life Science, Applied Science, and Computational Science.  The event, which carried the theme:  Inquire. Investigate. Innovate, aimed to give the students a venue to discuss the output of their scientific inquiries, present informative posters, and exemplify the traits of scientific innovators.

The students' outputs were judged  through a three-minute S & T pitch and a question-answer portion for five minutes with the school's S & T teachers and invited alumni judges.  While the grade  1o and 11 students defended their projects, the rest of the students participated by visiting the exhibits and interactng with the presentors.

This year's research fair was an innovation of the PSHS-SMC's Research Unit and was chaired by Rochelle T. Papasin, the head of the Research Unit.  The Research Unit, by sponsoring this activity, continues to hope that the Pisay scholars become globally competetive Filipino scientists.
