After two years since PSHSSMC's last face-to-face celebration, the most anticipated event of the year has finally arrived!

The PSHS SMC Foundation commenced with a blast to celebrate the 35th Founding Anniversary with the theme "PSHS SMC @35: Stand. Move. Commit." It was formally opened with an interreligious ecumenical thanksgiving service to commemorate the establishment of the institution followed by friendship games, booth fair contest, and  community lunch.

One of the major highlights of the celebration is Pisay Night. The awarding of PRAISE awardees and other winners, inspirational messages, and students' musical performances to culminate the event with the Mardi Gras motif were perfect to complement the glamor of the night for all the hardworking personnel and stakeholders of Pisay.

Several dignitaries, accompanied by the PSHS SMC Campus Director, Dr. Jonald P. Fenecios, and the Management Committee (MANCOM), graced the nightly event. PSHS System Executive Director Lilia T. Habacon sent a congratulatory message through a virtual speech. Also gracing the event with their presence were Dr. Danilo C. Lachica, a member of the Board of Trustees; Engr. Ramil A. Sanchez, Campus Director of the Philippine Science High School-Caraga Region Campus; Ms. Elaine Macatangay-Morales, President of the Philippine Science High School National Alumni Association; Dr. Richard Jonathan O. Taduran, Board Member of the Philippine Science High School National Alumni Association; Hon. Pilar C. Braga, 1st District, Davao City Councilor; and Committee on Education, Science, Technology, Arts, and Culture. Dr. Redentor Caesar G. Gonzales, Vitreo-Retina Surgeon of the SG Eye Clinic, and alumni awardee of Batch 1997, Ms. Sharon Rose D. Montebon, PTA President, and Dr. Ma. Chariza C. Dioso, Foundation, Inc. President.

In their respective speeches, Dr. Danilo C. Lachica encouraged everyone to cultivate a love of science, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for continual learning. Dr. Redentor Caesar G. Gonzales inspired everyone not to give up on their dreams and asserted that failure is not the antithesis of, but part of, success.

The celebration encourages the Pisay community to look to the future with optimism and go beyond resilience—to STAND as to make itself ready, MOVE towards a better future, and COMMIT to move forward under challenging circumstances.
